Xie Tian
谢天Xie Tian is a director, artist/curator, cinematographer, editor and producer based in Guangdong and Beijing. He studied at the 北京电影学院 and is currently a master's student at the 广州美术学院.
About the Creator
His moving-image works include 《潮汕民俗晶体影像集》 and 《彼时彼刻》 (AT THAT MOMENT, 2023). The former is a cycle of five short films on 舞龙, 舞狮, 英歌舞, 舞火龙 and 蔗巷.
《孽·槃》 premiered at the 13th BIFF 北京独立影像展, and he received a nomination for Best Artistic Contribution at the 4th 重庆青年电影展.
Other records include the 6th FALAC Triennial; “Authentic Narratives”—the Shijiezi International New Media Art Exhibition, part of the Beijing Film Academy International New Media Art Triennial's Art Intervention in Rural Areas Project; “Floating Images”—the China Academy of Art Experimental Film Exhibition; the New York Independent Film Awards; the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival (Experimental Film Golden Fox Award); the Bucharest ShortCut Film Festival; the Los Angeles Short Film Awards; the “Not a Clue” Film Exhibition in Xiaozhou, Guangzhou; and Beijing July Image Week.
