Yang Yuye
杨宇烨Yang Yuye is a director whose documentary works include 《破窗》(2021, 23 minutes, unreleased) and 《湖虫》(2022, documentary); the title of 《湖虫》 echoes that of 《千年虫》.
About the Creator
His works were screened online in the “二次分娩” section of the 2022 母亲影展 (草场地) in March 2022, and were presented in the “母亲不在‘家’” section of 母亲影展·弦影像—伦敦站 (reported in June 2023).
In 2022 he received the Best Cinematography award at the “青年影像在广州” film festival (curated by 深焦 DeepFocus), and in 2023 the same award at the “异乡人青年艺术影像展” (棉花沙影像工作室).
Other screenings and selections include the 2022 世界游牧短片展 award-winning works (announced in April 2023), a documentary finalist place at the 2023 世界游牧短片展, selection for the “ECHO 回响” section of BISFF 2022 (announced in November 2023), inclusion in the 2024 CathayPlay family-image line-up, and the 2025 母亲影展 finalist and guest screening line-up.
