May the lord protect us
天书Directed by Jiang Geng, May the lord protect us is a Teochew-language short film built around three stories involving Chaoshan worship practices.
About the Work
A stolen scripture, a river monster and an approaching typhoon set the three chapters in motion. Divination, the release of living creatures and signs of the future shape their different encounters with the unseen. The film screened in KwanTeo's 2025 Lunar New Year programme.
