About the Work
Blacklisted by his industry and facing three million yuan in contractual penalties, Chen Yu returns for his grandfather’s funeral. To fulfil his grandfather’s wish to record the arcade street, he joins embroiderer Lin Xiaomei and local residents in organising an image exhibition. Six decades of photographs help protect the street and restore his sense of purpose as a photographer.
