About the Creator
Deng's Swimming Lesson is set in a 1970s fishing village. After his mother fails to return from sea, a boy practises swimming against his father's wishes. Their disagreement comes to a head as a typhoon approaches.
The film screened in KwanTeo Lab's Qing Ganlan Jiang (Green Olive Award) (TBC) short-film programme in 2025.
