Springtime KwanTeo 2017
新春观潮2017On 1 February 2017, KwanTeo's Spring Festival event brought a public film forum, a filmmakers' dinner, four short-film screenings and a reception to the Hesheng complex in Shantou.
About the Topic
The afternoon forum addressed film investment, production and distribution. Its programme records presentations by Wu Boping, producer Ye Qing, Shen Danyang and Hu Lufeng. A dinner followed before the screenings moved into Hesheng Cinema; a reception extended the conversation later that night.
The four shorts were made by Chen Guancheng, Cai Jie, Lin Erhao and Wu Boping. Directors or writers spoke with the audience after the films. Compared with the preceding year's one-day screening session, this edition gave the spring gathering a broader shape, bringing industry discussion, films and informal exchange together in one place.
