《四海潮味》是全球首部以潮汕美食为脉络、以家庭餐厅为载体的人文纪录片。透过一道道独具特色的海外潮汕美食，讲述全球6个国家50个潮汕家庭的爱与羁绊，展现海外潮人的生存状态、身份认同与文化传承，唤醒属于潮汕人、也属于中国人的共同记忆。纪录100道海外潮汕人独创的美食，每一道都是全球独一份，缘于潮汕，享誉异国。这是首部关于一带一路中华文化传播的纪录片。中国国家主席习近平提出建设“新丝绸之路经济带”和“21世纪海上丝绸之路”的合作倡议。《四海潮味》在东南亚为主的国家进行拍摄，展示中华文化的共荣，表达海外侨胞对祖国的热爱及故土思念。以美食为切入口，以家庭餐厅为背景。深挖背后的家庭故事，展现全世界潮汕人的家庭关系。在被各种现代思潮冲击的当下，传统而坚固的家庭关系，令人感动。这是潮汕的，亦是中国的，更是世界的。
