The Coming of Age Ceremony
出花园（2017年广州大学动画短片）'Chu Hua Yuan' is a coming-of-age ceremony unique to the Chaoshan region: every child who turns fifteen must undergo the rite. Legend has it that a divine couple, 'Huagong Huapo' (Flower Lord and Flower Lady), guard children under fifteen, and the ceremony is also a farewell to them. This animated short tells the story of the two little deities guarding a little girl as she grows up. It is the graduation work of the Class of 2013, School of Fine Arts and Design, Guangzhou University.

“出花园”是潮汕地区特有的一种成人礼，年满15岁的孩子都要举行“出花园”仪式。相传有一对神仙夫妻“花公花婆”守护着未满15岁的孩子，而“出花园”也是对这对神仙夫妻的告别仪式。本片讲述的正是“花公花婆”这对小神仙守护着一位小女孩成长的故事。 本片为广州大学美术与设计学院13级学生毕业作品。
