Teoswa Sonata
夏日终曲Teoswa Sonata is a feature directed by Lu Xiaohao. Weitao and Yanna return to their hometown of Shantou for their last summer holiday together, hoping to earn enough for a trip to Xiamen while family pressures and summer jobs reshape their plans.
About the Work
In Lu Xiaohao's Teoswa Sonata, university students Weitao and Yanna come home to Shantou for the summer. They travel between nearby towns on their motorbikes, hoping to save for a trip to Xiamen. A business attempt fails, and each takes a summer job as the holiday draws to a close.
Lu's account of the film focuses on small details: where the couple travels, what they eat, how long their savings will last, and the lives of the people they meet. The project received the Asian New Director Grand Award at Eye Catcher Global 2025.
