锦鲤，锦鲤Koi, Koi (《锦鲤，锦鲤》) is a narrative short film completed in 2025. It had its world premiere in June 2025 at the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival (第27届上海国际电影节) in the special screening section for quality short films (优质短片特别展映).
About the Work
The film was later shown in the 'Pingyao Corner' (平遥一角) section of the 9th Pingyao International Film Festival (第9届平遥国际电影展) and on 5 July 2025 at the Green Olive Night (青橄榄之夜) of the KwanTeo Lab 2025 (观潮实验室2025). In May 2026 it took part in the short film compilation section of the Chaoshan Film Exhibition in Beijing (潮汕影展在北京), where a 30-minute version was screened on site.
It received a special commendation in the main competition of the 9th 86358 Jiajiazhuang Short Film Week (第九届86358贾家庄短片周) and a Best Student Short nomination in the 'Pingyao Corner' section of the 9th Pingyao International Film Festival. At the 18th Student Film Exhibition of the Central Academy of Drama (第18届中央戏剧学院学生影像展) it won Best Director, with additional nominations for Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, Best Production, Best Cinematography and Best Art Direction.
Its further records include the iQIYI event 「爆前先锋导演之夜」 (item 「絮语成诗」), and selections at the Student Academy Awards (Semifinalist), the annual top ten of the Shanhai Plan (山海计划年度十强), the IM Cross-Strait Youth Film Festival (IM两岸青年影展), HiShorts! Xiamen Short Film Week, the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival (金鸡百花电影节), the 10th China-Korea Youth Micro Film Exhibition (第十届中韩青年梦享微电影展) and the SF3 International Film Festival in Australia.
